IP36. Assemblage of a Cluster of Intensities

Lo Pati Art Center of Terres de l'Ebre and the History Museum of Terres de l'Ebre. Amposta
To make a practice a cross-species re-reading of the territory inspired by Donna Haraway's thinking. Moving away from human exceptionalism and proposing a coexistence where humans and non-humans co-constitute spaces through dynamic relationships. This proposal takes shape as a counter-geography, both poetic and emotional, focused on what does not appear on official maps: everyday gestures, blurry memories, and forms of peripheral knowledge.
The project adopts the form of a living and transforming assemblage, where artistic practices intersect with material and epistemological processes. Local clay is collected and transformed into nests for swallows, turning the Lo Pati Art Center into a cross-species welcoming space. This seemingly simple gesture generates new symbolism and performativity of the territory, activating links between matter, memory, and coexistence.
The project is completed with a collective publication documenting and reflecting on the intensities lived during the process: texts, images, poems, and data, to show how knowledge can emerge outside of fixed frameworks, from the contact between diverse agents and from the tension between territory and deterritorialization.
