Playing to Be Played Battling

On May 15, 2011, the Plaza del Ayuntamiento in Valencia was occupied by popular unrest in response to the crisis and the questioning of an institutional power consolidated since the pacts of the transition. This action reopens that moment of representation, inviting us to "play to be played," subverting the instrumentalization of the popular as a repressive agent. This reflection aligns with Pierre Bourdieu's ideas on popular culture and its instrumentalization within the fields of art and politics¹⁵.
