Benjamin's message is that it was necessary to translate how objects were related, and this has, in a way, been the narrative that has sustained the discourse of contemporary art up to now: that of the specialists, the critics who are the ones who validate and assess which artists, which lines of work, etc. And this does indicate that a change is imminent, or is already here; and yes, an art world will remain, the one of buying and selling art, but art will go in another direction. We will be somewhere else. The art system is in crisis because it is based on a private attitude that turns its back on a contextual reality and a common reality.
